When water level is below 1-1/2 Inch inch, it will automatically disconnect the power; when water level rises above 4 inch, the pump will start again. If you lock the float switch on the bracket of the pump, the pump will work all the time and the power will not shut off automatically. Please cut off immediately when the pump fails to pump water to prevent from dry running. Dirty & Clean Water Removal. This automatic sump pump is designed with a filter screen on the bottom, ideal for draining both clean/dirty water from any enclosing environment. Slide it down to block particles larger than 1/5. (5mm) for extracting cleaner water; Slide up to open the filter and allow particles up to 1-1/5 (30mm) to pass through for draining dirty water. The pump is not for applications involving corrosive or flammable liquids.
