EMERGENCY PUMP: It does not require electricity or a battery to function, but is powered by your municipal water supply. It is easily connected to the municipal water supply line and to your existing conventional sump pump discharge line. EASY INSTALLATION: No electricity, no battery, no maintenance required. POWER OUTAGE PEACE OF MIND: In the event of a power outage or an electric pump failure, the rising water in the sump will activate an automatic control valve which will start the system. Water under pressure will flow through the Contractor Sump Buddy which creates a vacuum and causes the water in the sump to be drawn out into the discharge line.
